Mystery Question
The wife found a 2 1/4" X 2 1/4" X 1/8" thick square of rubber with a sticky back on it in the garage after I pulled out my roadster. I've looked under the car and did not see anything obvious. I also looked under the hood and lifted the roadster top half off to see if there was a matching black square. Does anyone have any idea as to where the black square of rubber is from? Has anyone seen anything similar on their cars? |
Pics would help so we can see what it looks like, and what to compare it to shape/material/pattern wise...

Ditto
Same thing here, I believe it is simply an assembly pad for the chassis as it moves through production. It has a weak adhesive on one side.

could be a support that goes inside the bumper. i know my car has a few foam blocks with weak adhesives that i had to re-attach after doing the rear camera install.
|
rubber, not foam.
might just be a contact "pad" as stated before so the assembly robots don't scratch the metal |
