^ +1, IMO the only thing (weak offsets) that will make me get aftermarket wheels later down the road.

Post some pics asap, I'm thinking of getting mine powder coated also, but I might go with a satin black, like to see what the gunmetal will look like.

I love the stock 19's as well. I will not be changing them. Really, there's nothing I'm going to do with the exterior of the car when I get it. I think it's perfect just the way it is. Maybe a bolt on performance mod here or there, but IMO the car is just perfect the way it is. It's not like my old Mustang where once I got it I wanted to change all sorts of stuff!

In real life, the wheels emulate the car's stylistic bulges and creases so well that if it were an aftermarket rim it would one of the most popular. It also a big sales draw as when you first see them on the car they draw you in to study them as they are very dimensional—they just go so damn well with the car.

You should have seen the Cheap Hub Caps that the 240Z came with......they were horrible. !!!!! and they were 195s, I changed them right away to Michelin 205s. I was ashamed of the JAP Brigstone tires.......later I found out just how good the Bridgestones were.....they were 6 ply tires.........but No one......had ever heard of Bridgstone tires in 1970 and Michelin was very new in this country.... |
