You can use this argument all you want, that doesn't make it logical. If you don't think people cross-shop the two because of rear seats and a different engine, you are out of your mind (especially considering the Mustang rear seats are virtually useless). V6 vs. V8? Comparable because they are priced similarly. The new Mustang V6 is about as fast as a G37 and will be immensely less expensive. The V8 will kill the 370Z in the straights for similar money. They are both sports cars that look good and go fast, so stop getting defensive when people compare the two.
