The supercharger could take care of the low end power/tq that the VQ is missing, and then from there it should be just a matter of tuning to get that powerband flat throughout the RPMs.

High horsepower and smog legality do not typically go together.

Just about every CARB legal supercharger kit on the market for ANY vehicle, Ford, Chevy, NISSAN, etc. runs around 6 pounds of boost. Our experience with the 3.5 liter showed that 6 pounds of boost would generate around 100RWHP gain. Obviously this math is crude and general but if you take into account that bone stock 370's are baselining in the 275 RWHP range than you can assume that our forced induction kit will be running around 375 RWHP in Stage 2. Stage 2 is an intercooled, street legal, warrantied kit.

It will be plenty capable of acheiving more power than that but then it won't be smog legal anymore.

Do you have a completion date you are working towards with the supercharger kit?

How well do your kits hold up to track events...sounds to me it would be MORE than just a streetable car, with more usable torque I would imagine it would be a sweet ride around a smaller track/scca events...

We don't have a definitive date as of yet because we have not yet put the car on the street/dyno. Once we begin road testing and final development we will have a better idea of release time. Right now though our goal is to have something ready by the end of '09 hopefully ready for debut at SEMA but not 100% sure on that yet.

One thing to keep in mind is STILLEN'S history. Our company founder, Steve Millen, is the winningest driver in IMSA history, still holds the record for most pole positions, he has won some of the most challenging endurance races in the world, in NISSAN vehicles such as the 24 hours of Le Mans, 24 hours of Daytona, 12 hours of Sebring. Long story short...Yes, this forced induction system will be very well suited for track days. That is always our focus. We don't reach for the highest horsepower possible. Our goal is to achieve the most useable power possible.

Not yet. We have a price range that we've discussed internally but I don't think we're ready to talk about it publicly.

so will the G require hood mods? or are you keeping the factory hood for that too. I like to be different and everyone seems to be going turbo's supercharger is the way to go for me.
