390 kp/h on a Dyno Z

390kp/h 370 on a Dyno, now you know why they limit the speed .I think the tires on a Z are only rated to 287 kp/h

jesus.....

would like to see max speed on the road! lol that's rediculous:tup:

Chriz 03-30-2010 02:05 AM

...ok? :ugh2: The z will never reach those speeds on the road...even with no limiter, not even close.

Yeah no sh!t... it takes a 1000+hp 12 cylinder quad turbo veyron to do 407kph... but it'd still be interesting to see how far it can go past 255kph;)

Actually its rated at 980hp and its a W16, not a V12. Think two V8's put together in a VV formation. The car also weighs around 1,200lbs more than the Z.

My car was still pulling nicely at 150mph the other morning....

We could probably hit 200mph with 700rwhp. Its the aerodynamics that kill us...

on this video and on some best motoring videos you can see the wheel slip light staying continously on!!!!! how do they do that? the light usually just blinks if there is wheel spin. pushing the vdc button doesn't cause the wheel slip light to say on either.

it's not the weight that matters. weight reduces acceleration, but has no influence on top speed. what limits top speed are frictional forces like friction with the air, friction with the ground, internal friction of driveline components. but mostly its friction with the air since this increases dramatically at high speeds.
