With the Bug and Tar method. If I don't have fishing line, Would I be able to just pull it off with my hands or is there some other household item that would be effective?

Waxed Dental Floss works better imo. Plus, some of the stiffer fishing line can cut the paint. Been there done that, Doh !!?!!!
Waxed Dental Floss adds some protection while cutting the adhesive. In my case, the surface was damaged by etching of glue from the previous emblem. Therefore, I had to buff the surface out with plastic polish.... veeerrrry carefully and a bit at a time. Then rubbing alcohol to prep surface for new emblem and then I waxed AFTER the installation of the new emblem. Waxing before doesn't give as good of a surface for new emblem to adhere to. |
