Nismos 370z!!!
 

So I just read in "car and driver magazine" that they may release the 370z nismo package here in the states probably later this year or next. It supposedly will be price 10k more than the regular Z. It said that it will some suspension rupgrades and some body kit. I really don't know anything about modding cars all that much, but I would think it would be cheaper to buy your own for less than that. To me it sounds like a rip off. It also stated that there may not be any engine upgrades. If i'm going to spend another 10k I would like to see some engine mods, like maybe more power for the extra 10k. What do you guys think?

Nismos are bought for their name and exclusivity. There are/will be many aftermarket parts that are far superior to Nismo in design, engineering, as well as performance. It just depends how hardcore of a Nissan fan you are.

Ya but you can't buy a stock Z and mod it up to equal a NISMO Z for the same $. That's what makes the NISMO Z a bargain. And BTW, the NISMO Z does just fine on the track.

very true.. also remember you will still have your warranty with the nismo.. for the average person.. its a good buy

When the nismo version came out for the 350, i didn't like the design of it.

Not true. The NISMO performance none of the aftermarket parts have really gotten close to it. This has been hashed out for a long time on my350z.com.

It's all about tuning and what works good together. You can't just install aftermarket parts and expect them to all work good together.

didn't someone on here get the Nismo exhaust and manifold already......really old news in here...lol

I think I unintentionally sounded a bit harsh towards Nismo parts. I didn't mean they are inferior to aftermarket parts. I was referring to the OP's comment about being able to get better parts than Nismo, which I pointed out exist and are available. He also mentioned something about Nismo being a rip off and I explained that Nismo parts are exclusive and people pay a pretty penny to have the Nismo name. Sorry for the confusion and if I offended anyone hah.
