If the magnet would separate wouldn't it stay stuck at the bottom since it's a magnet, It would just stick to the pan.

Happen to me about 5 years ago (not in 370). My drivers side wiper blade and arm flew off on the highway in the middle of a crazy snow storm. So I drove the remaining hour home with my drivers window all the way down' arm hanging out the window with the snow brush, heat cranked so I didn't freeze to death.

Shouldn't do any harm if it does fall out. It should fall to the bottom of the pan and stay there. It could possibly block the oil pump inlet but all the rotating parts are above the oil level in the pan. Not that I would want one loose in my oil pan, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. While I'm sure it's happened to someone along the way, I've never heard of the magnet falling out in the 40+ years I've been working around cars. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

In that case, if the magnet falls out, it should "stick" to the pan and stay put.
