Yeah, put the Z on a wet track and watch it fall off that list completely.

True, what is depressing that is that the base corvette beat the Z by over a second. The corvette may be a better bang/buck car or maybe that FQ evo haha. Those don't over heat and have brake issues for starters.

That list doesn't specify whether the track was wet or dry.

From watching the show it seems like I remember them subtracting a few seconds (3-4 sec) off the wet track times to compensate for the wet track. They noted the wet track times with a W behind the time.

They really should have two separate lists -- wet and dry.

Having watched a $hit ton of Top Gears, I can tell you they don't change the actual times. All they do is add a notation for the track condition.

I agree, it has to be a curvy/turn oriented track.

the track is very curvy with 2 decent long straights. some long sweeping turns and a hairpin turn. its got all the aspects needed to get a good base time on cars.

on the post someone said about falling off the list totally it might stick somewhere in the bottom. since the bmw z4 was also ran the same time as the 370z and the Z beat it out. the Z4 was ran first then the 370z it was a comparison test between the 2

they never touch the times. there set in stone wet or dry. amazing thing is how quick some of these cars are when its raining.

Was just re-watching the episode now that I actually own the Z...eat my dust dinosaur!

Seriously though great driving by the Stig as always...I'm upset the Cayman did so well, I was hoping it was en par with the Z.

remember, the caymen R costs almost twice as much as the 370, that buys an awful lot of performance and handling.

lol, yeah I'm real depressed that a 35000 dollar car was beat at the track by a 45000 dollar car.

The vette's putting down 100 more hp, is around the same weight, and is lower to the ground.
