|

Article is from 2005 D: is it already out?
|
It's true, and I believe Nissan is expanding it to the electronics industry for items like mobile phones. Also, at least in Europe, the 40th Anniversary edition comes with it:

Nissan Licenses Self-Healing Paint for Mobile Phones |
I think this came out on the Infiniti hatch first, 2 years ago? It's decent I heard, just need the sun to activate it. My dealer here in Hk said the 09 Zs have this.

Here's an older thread. Please note this thread was created BEFORE the official release of 370Z. |
Don't hold your breath, guys. Infiniti has used scratch shield paint from 2008-09 on certain models. But they decided to withdraw use of scratch shield paint for 2010 and go back to the crosslinked clear coat paint again. No reason given for pulling that technology, but I wouldn't expect to see it on a 370Z.

Not again with old articles....LOL
The Z doesn't have the self healing paint. The 40th might have it only. |

Yes, old old article... The 370z does not have it, and I know for a fact the GT-R does have it...
|
The european 370z has this. Atleast mine has it.
If I am not mistaken it comes in a package together with the navi and the 19" rays. Might come on all of them I am not really sure. |
In the UK AFAIK all metailic and pearl 370z's have it, not just the 40th/Black Edition.
