My pearl white 370z has it but I think the US cars don't?

^^As the owner of an '09 Infiniti G37xS, I'd second that opinion. The scratch shield paint works, but the label 'self-healing' is a bit misleading. The elastic clearcoat works best in warm temperatures, not in Colorado (where I live) and subfreezing weather. Perhaps this summer my swirl marks will disappear without any further need of detailing help. I just pray there's no deep scratches or (knocks on wood) body damage. Scratch shield won't do anything to help there and bodyshops cannot replicate the topcoat.

Negative. No Zs have this clear. It was on the Gs for a little while but not anymore. It is also found on the GTR.

Erm, I beg to differ. My UK Z does have scratch guard. It's on the UK literature and stated on my purchase invoice. It's also on the Nissan UK website

I'm yet to be convinced the scratch guard is a good thing. It must be really soft to be able to reform, so I can just see us getting more rock chips than ever, and a bodyshop cant fix it back to OEM finish as they dont have the magic clear coat. Will be interesting to see if Nissan themselves will offer it.
