I am in for the long haul with my Z34, The bro and myself have upgraded from an 05 and 06 to two 09's so I am strapped to these for awhile. DI or similar 240Z size engine with DI in the future, they can have it cuz my money is staying in my pocket for at least another 7 years. Except for some Stillen mods.

My question is why don't they just offer a super-charged version of the 370Z? I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that would pay the extra $$$ to get a factory version SC. I've been thinking about upgrading to the Stillen Charger but then you have to worry about voided warranty issues if something goes wrong.

I dont think this is true, they may put out less V8s then before but 4 and 6 turbos and SCs are about tripple then they were a few years ago. Thats whats so good about a 4 or 5 or 6 cyl turbo, good power and good gas mileage. 4 cyl with small turbos with a chip can make 300 hp and 300 tq and still get 27 mpg avg. I got 32 mppg highway on my 4 cyl turbo and had about 260 hp and 300 tq. All the companies are doing this now.

I saw a picture of the only pre-production 400ZX in 92, it had an infinity V8 and it was displayed at the Japan Auto Show back then, it never made it into production.

I have 4.0L V6 in my Frontier. Granted, it's a VQ40DE motor with variable timing, and not VHxxVHR w/ VVEL.

A V8 would be interesting but it will never happen. All Z's have always been 6's and I bet they always will be. Even when they throw in the electric motor in the future hybrid Z.

A V8 would be pretty cool, but the pic in the article looks like a Altima coupe

2014 seems more real. There not going to make a 400z with 370z being out for 2 years. Give the time span of 350z from 2003-2008..do the same for 370z then bam 400z lol

by 2014 the 370Z will be slow compared to what will be out by then. they may need to step it up a couple yrs.
