My 370Z will be my only car so I will probably have to either put some all-seasons on it or get some base rims and put winter tires on them.
I owned a Mustang GT with more power and torque than the 370 and it was just fine in the snow (with all-seasons). Just had to be very careful. Of course the best thing to do will be to just avoid driving in the snow. But we all know that's not always possible.

I was in my front wheel drive Prelude, lowered, but on all-season tires. My friends from NYC thought it was a bright idea to rent a mustang for their drive to the mountains Well, at least we all made it in one piece

Are you sure they wont? I've seen pics of other 18's clearing the brakes so far (nismo's for example). On the 350z, every wheel offered by nissan would clear any OEM brake system.

The only problem is that a separate set of rims probably wouldn't be worth it here in VA simply because whether we get enough snow to disrupt travels in any given winter is kind of up in the air. We either do or we don't, and lately it's been more don't than do.
If I could get some performance all-seasons to replace the high-performance summers that would be an option I'd consider. I will likely never track this car so a little hit in performance won't bother me all too much. How do these summers perform in wet weather, anyways? And on the other end of the spectrum, how to the snow tires perform in dry conditions?

Good questions. Fortunately I may be keeping my current Subaru Outback 2.5 XT Limited for snow and rain duty, with the 370Z as my daily-driver. Wife will kindly take the Outback ;o)

Alexandria, awesome. So you know how it is, then! I live down in Woodbridge right now, moving to Fairfax in the next couple of months.
