What Would You Want (2011 370Z)
Name top 3 new or improved things you would like to see for 2011's 370Z.
In no particular order: 1.) Added coat protection/ clear bra installation. 2.) To compete with the competition, the 370Z definitely needs to add more horsepower. 3.) Stiffen the suspension and lower the overall height. |
all forged internals. Actual PAINT, not fingernail polish. Fix oil cooling problem
|
Oh oh, here we go with a "let's sh!t on the 370" thread.
|
1. To address the huge blind spot problem, rear view camera standard with touring model (screen in the rear view mirror).
2. Definitely more stock horsepower. 3. Move the clock down to the radio and replace the 3rd gauge back to oil pressure, A/F ratio, etc. |

I was really hoping for a Superbird style wing and maybe an underbody LED disco light kit....:stirthepot:
|
1. Have Leather Seats and door inserts be a separate option from the Blose system
2. Love my PG Z but think seeing the 370 in Sunset Lemans would look amazing 3. More clearcoat 4. Dump Bose/Clarion and strike a deal with another audio manufacturer so your average person doesn't have to gut the entire audio to enjoy nice sound. 5. A stock Turbo option would be sweet. 6. A new gas guage and a non digital clock would give a classier look |

I noticed a few of you think the Z needs more horsepower, this isnt an issue, the Z has plenty horsepower, but what it lacks is Torque, 270 ft./lbs isnt going to cut it these days, I'd like to see the TQ numbers on par with the HP, 332hp with 310-315 ft./lbs would be a good target to hit.

A flux capacitor!

Nissan could probably make an engine similar to it, but the Z would be very expensive. The VK45DE from the last gen M45 would've been perfect in this Z. 325-335 range for hp and tq. Plus it would sound badass. |
450+ Horsies
Make it much smaller and give it go-kart handling. Dual Clutch No wheel arch noise Or Front wheel drive 130(ish) Horse power Fart can exhaust Tiesto CD glued into the stereo, volume permanently glued all the way up. Mismatched pre-bondo'd, unpainted body panels Glued on engine porthole vents Crappy steel front wheels, alloy back wheels Blue LED washer jets. :ughdance: |

I would say the paint and front end aero dynamic/styling. It seems to attract a lot of rock chips, the same goes for the windshield.
I can live with the blind spots, once you are used to the car is no problem. |
no change on 2011. i dont want my 09 to feel inferior...!!
|
im pretty happy with my Z, I think the only two things I'd change are:
1) better stock head unit (i mean, at least have one that plays mp3 cds...) 2) dual clutch transmission as an option |
Change the color black cherry to a different color. So then black cherry was only offered on the coupe during '10

yea a metallic orange would be really cool.
definitely a factory available back up camera. |
i would like to see a daytona blue

I would like to see DSG in the ATs and possibly AWD. |
The direct-injection technology from the Infiniti M56
|
AWD - GT-R
Double clutch - GT-R Turbo - GT-R Sorry guys, but the GT-R is using some of the tech you want and I can bet Nissan will keep it split up until either the GT-R moves onto the next best thing or the GT-R disappears. |
I would like to see nothing changed... Maybe make less of them actually?
And the 370 needs more HP to compete with the competition ? What car for 30k gets you 333 hp and low 13 second 1/4 and more than comparable handling ??? Pontiac Solstice ? Saturn Sky ? Hyundai Genesis ? BMW 335 ? Lexus is350 ? (power is there but not for 30K closer to 50 ) Corvette ? Yes, but its a Chevy and still way more money ... Mustang GT? inferior. You want it to compete with the cars priced 45k+ but for 30k... We are lucky it makes the power it does ... The car is rock solid and I love everything about it.. Actually My one change would be put the VLSD in the Base, its an embarrassment to the Z to be a peg leg.. Coming from someone with a base model!!! |
lol steve we are telling the same story at the same time + rep for you lol
Id also like to see them stop making white, because I have now seen 3 in my area since the cars release, thats too many!!! |

How about: 1. Less engine noise. 2. Color matching door handles. |
Quote:
1. Power and NM in the form of twin turbo like the old 300zx 2. A real mechanical LSD not a VLSD! 3. Standard rear view camera and sensors 4. No more wet windows 5. A rear hatch that actually pops open on the first press. 5. 19" wheels as standard in Australia from the get go....grrr rant over. |

Forgot about Titanium as we did not get it. :( |

Harman Kardon stock audio
|
1. Rear view back up camera
2. More torque & less weight & much lighter Flywheel 3. stronger clutch than stock currently 4. to make less of these a year 5. factory option racing oil cooler & diff cooler that is not extremely pricey and I have so much but the price would be to much and into a diff category |
I loved the Le Mans orange on the Z33, i'd like to see that color come back but in a darker shade, kinda like the sunset pearl on the Eclipse (my other car)
Tell me this aint clean! http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...t6/p_00152.jpg |
1. I want the 7AT to upshift quickly when I get off the gas instead of lingering in too low a gear.
2. Blue dash and gauge lights 3. A 4.5L V6 engine with forged internals |

What would I want in a 2011 370z? How about one in my driveway?
Seriously though if they announce they are doing an orange color for 2011, I'll be picking up the first orange 2011 370z sold I'll guarantee that. If no orange or some kind've amazing color I like or other vast improvements from the 2010, i'll be picking up the 2010 in late 2010 :) |
