The "no warranty" thing would be my biggest concern. Things can go wrong with any new car - salvage or not. You could easily eat through any savings on the car in 3 yrs with just a few problems that would normally be covered under warranty. On a side note, hard for me to believe that a dent in the top makes it a salvage. I've seen new cars beat to $hit by hail damage and still not salvage.

Dont get me wrong I am not cheap,im just trying to cut corners as this car is not a need but more a toy for me..need to keep costs down so wife stays on plan...I think I might just wait till i can get one for 25K and at least it will have warranty...saved a few bucks now might cost me big bucks down the road.

hey if she was hot as hell and was clean I would consider it,took care of me,was good to my family...depends on the circumstances..everyone deserves a second chance...maybe she became a hooker due to circumstances in life....cant always judge a book by its cover...I believe in second chances.

No, I wouldnt buy a salvage. I know people who do and dont have anything against it. Please do not make your decision based on my opinion. I dont like salvage cars. I can tell by the way the new paint looks that something has happened to the car.

That has to be a good amount of damage to be deem as "salvage".

Someone posted that the dealer doesn't have to report the damage if the percentage is within certain amount.

Asking price is too high. If it were mid-teens, say $15000, I might only after:

1. Get a ppi from 2 separate dealers. This would be around $500

2. Get 2 separate inspections from frame shops

as people said you need to consider the insurance. Don't listen to me though. I appear to be the minority

If a dealer really wanted to they could wreck a car and fix it in house and go on to sell it as a new car, I don't know the legality of it but I know its happened before. Though most of the time its cheaper just to file an ins claim and let someone else pay for the dmg.
