But for me who has not been able to enjoy the car whatsoever for the past 9 months and have spent hours upon hours fighting with Nissan is done. The difference is I respect your opinion and never argued it, yet you and others wish to argue how I feel even though you have no idea what I have been through.
I'd just like to say i'm glad you finally got what you wanted and extra glad my Z doesn't have the noise.

This sounds like me, my first car was a Mercury. The wiring harness actually caught on fire and smoke started blowing into my car. Was a 3500 dollar fix that thankfully my insurance covered. I sold it after that and said never again.

But on a more related note, I understand why you're angry, but as was noted before...it's a business. Nothing personal. IMO you're lucky you even got them to buy it back, I really don't think many dealerships/corporations would buy anything they sold back especially after it's been used (even slightly).

Glad to hear they bought your car back. I have a 2006 G35 coupe I bought used in mid-2007 and a high-frequency noise started to manifest itself about six months ago. Mine only occurs under load (if you rev the engine in neutral, no noise) and is not terribly loud, but it still irks the crap out of me. This is clearly a known issue because G35 and G37 owners are having the same problem. The dealers are replacing ECUs to remedy the issue and some owners are reporting that the noise returns while others assert all is well. I won't buy another Nissan/Infiniti again, despite my strong desire for a 370Z, until they get this issue sorted.

I am sorry to hear that.

I personally have not noticed this noise. I will check tonight. I hope you have better luck next time.

Kind of extreme. I, and the majority of others on these forums (and off for that matter), have never had these two issues. No noise for me. No hatch issues for me. Again, AND the majority of others. If you feel that extreme that you will never buy another Nissan, it's your decision. But looking at you folks who think this way ...from my perspective, it really makes me wonder... What would make you completely happy?

.... NOTHING

So at the risk of getting emotional, which wouldn't solve anything (as it hasn't in a lot of previous posts), it's probably for the best that you move on.

Wow, that sounds like a nightmare for you. You hated your Z so bad that you left it in your diveway just sitting there... I really dont like hearing this news since I am looking to buy a Z soon. For all I know, this guy could be some competitor trying to lower Nissans rep.
