Buyer be ware that even many aftermarket exhausts claim they are "stainless steel" but are made from varying grades of SS that will still surface rust.

For example, the Stillen CBE is all 'stainless' but the muffler and tips are 306 SS which won't surface rust while all the piping is 409 and will most definitely surface rust. Caveat is that Stillen has a lifetime warranty on perforation, so it's not worth worrying about. And with their exhaust, you can only see the 306 parts, so you'll never see rust unless you wiggle under the car.

I am about ready to take my '09 in for service as it definitely has a squeak in the rear suspension. I hear a metallic creak sometimes when getting in or out of the car. Others have mentioned this, it's not the seat creaking but sounds like it's coming from around the rear wheel opening so maybe a shock or spring ?

Weird. My Z is the most rattle-free, squeakless car I've ever owned. No BS. I can only say "well-done Nissan!". Sorry to hear it, man.

Not sure if you have ever had your vehicle detail by a professional shop, the acid wash is how they remove the coat of wax on your car.... unless you know of another process to remove wax?Perhaps you 'scrape it off with your thumbnail"?

While I do not know the composition of the wax removing compound I would assume its not Sulfuric Acid (btw the correct spelling )which would be far too corrosive.

My Titan is white, an shows rust very plainly (small pin prick sized specks of rust)that results after 4 months of winter driving ,the 'grader dust' is not in the paint or clear coat but embedded in the wax, every spring I take my truck in an have the wax removed and rebuffed an waxed professionally, the paint which looks new an NO rust at all after 5 years of Canadian winters.

And I see your 40 years an raise yours too 42 years of driving, and I had never heard of it either until it was pointed out to me by a very good Dealership in southern British Columbia and a detail shop that explained how these small specs of rust can spread from a small metal filings off a grader blade to all out body rust from ignorance of a piece of knowledge someone was kind enough to inform me about before it resulted in major body rust, how else can you explain chrome rusting with out a catalyst?

There is an old adage about Old dogs an new tricks, keep an open mind , and maybe go outside an look very carefully at your paint specially the driver side where mud an snow and the other crap that splashes up from other cars passing you on the highways you may be surprised, or need a new pair of bifocals.

If you would like the shop that details my truck an bike,I'll be more then happy to give you their name,or perhaps you can spend $300 an get your vehicle detail an ask your detailing shop a little more about this subject.

Google is an amazing tool try it sometime before you lol @ something ,ignorance is no excuse to quote a smRt man.

Tiny Rust Spots...Brake Dust?? - Club Lexus Forums

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOLLALOLASDFOADSFOADSFOASDF

What because some douchebag posted on Club Lexus and the plowsite it's not a complete fabrication? Give me a break, that tiny piece of steel that makes a brief spark does not stay floating around in the air for minutes or hours until we drive along hitting them. I suppose if you could get your car within half inch of the plow there might be something to that BS story.

By the way I posted in the CL thead too, been a member there since 2006.

The small filings of metal wouldn't float in the air ... a little thing called gravity would pull it to the earth to mix with slush/snow/water,perhaps you should have spent a little more time in physics class an less time in photoshop.

LMAO @ the noob!!! Okay, I want to make sure I get this right.........So these microscopic bits of steel mix with the water and snow, stay there on the road, in place, as hundreds to hundreds of thousands of other cars precede me; then the little microscopic bits get sprayed on my car and I get little rust spots?

I think you should spend less time in fantasy writing and more time in non-fiction. Thanks for playing though.
