Digital Speedometer
FWIW, after reading the radar detector thread and then settling on the passport with GPS, it is a good way to get a great detector and have a digital speedometer. My favorite thing on my 350 is the digital speedo. I never look at the analog one, and am too slow to figure out if I am going way too fast if I see a cop ahead. Anyway, just throwing that out there. Plus for me, it seems like the V1 has a fair amount of false reads, at least from driving in my buddies car, though he swears by it, just like a lot of other guys!

I use my Passport 9500 the same way; in fact, I found it was more accurate than the digital speedometer in my prior 350 and also in my current M45.

You may want to look at these:
Defi - Defi-Link VSD X Heads Up Display at AutoSport Catalog And I'm sure there's other solutions like these.

Yeah, I have a nuvi too, but I only use it when I am going somewhere I have never been. I figure I will always have the radar detector going, so it is the best of both worlds without too much S$&T on my window. That heads up thing looks useful, but again too much goin on,

I've seen those similar things on t.v. I think the high end car manufacturers are doing something like that (beemer, mercedes).

^^^ Yeah. There's also the Corvette and a while ago there were other GM cars that had heads-up displays. GM won't be putting those in anymore Chevy's or Pontiacs because they want to sell more Corvettes.
I used to drive my x-gf's Grand Prix GTP which had a HUD and LOVED driving it. I used to look forward to her getting drunk just so I could drive (she didn't like my car at all so we never took it anywhere.)

She didn't love you 300 TT. To bad. I wish the 370 had the HUD. That would been cool.

LOL! No, different x-gf. This x was from back in the days when I had a '79 Pontiac Bonneville. I didn't even like the car!
