Happends to me all the time. 2 weeks ago i was coming back from a store, was picking oil up to do a oil change. Got behind a kid in a BMW and he was driving weird to avoid the pot holes. So i passed him, he did the little ricer fly by then he got stock behind a truck. I passed him, he tried to get me to race but ignored him. He got a couple cars ahead of me and cut them off, at the same time trying to avoid a pot hole. He couldnt do both and lost control, jumping to curb, ripping the front passenger wheel and his bumper off.
Then a few days later i went to the gas station to fill up and to recheck my oil to make sure it was all good. Kid in a evo filled up next to me and said "to bad its not AWD, that POS must get its *** kicked all the time" Then he did a burnout while leaving, he didnt notice the cops sitting there and he got pulled over. |

It has nothing to do with racing or whatever and everything to do with Porsche owners having something to prove. My dad drives a Vette and every Porsche owner does the same thing to him. Same for my friend in a WRX. The car doesn't pick the driver, but most dudes in Porsches I've seen are 50 year old guys who are out to prove something. Also to where I live: I'm right next to Moorestown/Mount Laurel. I see Porches quite often. At least four or five a week, I'd say. edit: no really, I respect the performance of porches but i seriously can't tell the difference between them MY wise. at all. the differences are so subtle it is baffling. |

I agree with those that say take it as a form of flattery, I try not to make eye contact but in some cases I find it funny watching them trying to blast off the line. However, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.

I'm driving up I-95 in Virginia and I see this Shelby GT in front. I try to stay calm on the highway...very hard to do around DC. Anyway, I decide to get a little closer and he notices me in his rear view. Well, he stomps on it...noise, smoke, everything. I say to myself...okay lets see. Well, I stay with him for the for the most part until we hit thick traffic...then I backed off a bit. He jumps off the exit ramp and as I go by I see him pounding the steering wheel. Guessed I pissed him off keeping up with him. It was fun..... :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:
I love my Z...... :driving: |
News just reported a couple were arrested for insurance fraud. It seems they were racing a GT-R through the hills of California back in November, and went into a ditch; they then tried to make a false insurance claim. Now they have been busted!!!

What im getting at is before i bought my 370z, I owned a Cobalt SS Supercharged with a Harrop TVS Supercharger Swap, 60lb injectors, CAI and a few traction mods. That was sitting at around 260-270fwhp. Got to the track, lined up...they paired me up with a 89 Mustang with exhaust, intake, drag radials and a 75 shot of nitrous. I beat him, came around, lined up with a stock Mustang GT (08 i think), beat him. Let my car cool down for abit then i jumped in line again. Got paired up with a Mustang Saleen with 480whp. He missed 2nd gear and i beat him. So when people say "oh car A will rape car B" not always true, just cuz hp is different doesnt always mean a win. The power in the car isnt the only factor in a race. Sorry for long post but thats kinda pet pieve of mine..lol |

You know the funny thing is that now since I have the z noone really tries to race me anymore around where I live.. When I had my VW gli and civic si people use to try and race me allllll the time. Ever since I got my z that stopped. The only person who's tried to race me in my 7 months of ownership is a gto.

It's pretty much going to be a Camaro SS less a couple hundred pounds, which, in identical conditions will beat a Camaro SS and 370Z stock for stock. :) That's all I'm saying, man. Oh, and don't forget the FRPP supercharger option, installed at the dealership, before you take delivery. Nom nom nom. |

I could be wrong, but I remember seeing that somewhere. Also yeah, a Camaro is faster in a straight line and the new Mustang will almost def. be faster than a Camaro. You've got it in the turns, but else? idk. I've never been a mustang guy but they certainly have a reason to be happy. edit: I've also always thought that dealer-supported "aftermarket" was one thing the American car companies have always done so much better. It's sick that you can walk out the door with a supercharger. |

Only once have a been challenged at a set of lights, it was ironically by a guy in an Aston Vantage with his young son on board. Anyway just smiled at the guy, gave no indication to race and we didn't...
I get odd looks from people because they're usually doing the overtaking of me... I stick to the speed limit as I will lose my job if I didn't have a license... Hope it helps build up a good rep for sports car drivers out there to show that we're not all hoons... |
I'd lose my job for a street racing ticket I know that!
|
yah, i like car guys that enjoy cars maturely. no need to race on the street and it actually looks silly. dumb people in beatup crap cars do that. dont be like them.
|
Yep, keep it on the track!

Haha, and I just want to say, how pissed are those retards who didnt research the release of the 5.0 and instead bought a 10' GT?:rofl2:

I agree. The '10 resale value is going to suck.
|
Oh I forgot these people!
Just because im in a z, they think it's okay to cut me off and never signal. Whatsup with that?! |
|
Why would any body even buy the '10 mustang. Even in 2009 a simple google search would have told anyone the '11s were getting more power.
