I love carbon fiber and I think this would look sick on a Pearl White Z. My question is, what is the difference between Carbon and Matte Carbon?

Everyone is going to have a different opinion, but what do you guys think of this piece?

Matte carbon is well matte, compared to most carbon fiber products which come with a shiny gloss. Same product, but is covered with a different finish.

I think it looks good, but no way I would spend $800 on an overlay.

If we are talking just finishes, matte carbon is not clear coated...

Regular carbon is...

Also though, a lot of times matte carbon = dry carbon which is much lighter than most of the carbon products you see out on the market.

Nice pictures and good explaination. I love the clear coat look. Honestly, i'm not out there racing or need any kind of weight reduction so as long as it looks good then that's all I'm going for. Thanks guys.

Matte carbon will still have a clear coat (matte clear) and should offer the same protection as gloss CF.
