370Z Clutch vs. 350Z Clutch

For you manual transmission owners, how does the new 370Z clutch compare to the old 350Z's? I've read a couple owners/reviews mention that the clutch is on the softer side, which sounds like the opposite of the old 350Z's stiff, long throw clutch. I would love it if you lucky 370Z 6MT owners could share you experiences regarding the following:

clutch travel - shorter travel than the 350Z? Or the same?

clutch engagement - does clutch still engage high off the floor or more towards the middle? Also, is the engagement point still really narrow, like an on/off switch - or is it more forgiving?

clutch weight - more/less/same effort required to push down clutch pedal?

Thanks guys!

I haven't noticed any major differences. Also, this thing about a narrow engagement point where the clutch is like an on/off switch -- this isn't the first time I've heard this, but I don't know what people are talking about. I've never had any problem modulating/feathering the clutch.

IIRC, clutch travel felt nearly the same. Engagement point felt less abrupt, and the pedal is super soft! When I got back in my '03, the pedal felt real heavy and my leg started feeling fatigue. HA!

The shift knob is a tiny bit higher, and getting in gear felt pretty good. Who knows how long it'll last before getting clunky.

^^^ LOL

I like the feel of my current Z's clutch, It's about medium stiffness. The Solstice has a much firmer clutch and it WAS on/off until we finally broke it in.

Yea, I'm not feeling much mechanical resistance so the clutch actuation felt pretty artificial (like drive-by-wire). I just hope the shifter is silky smooth for a long time... the clunk in my '03 (with new transmission in '06) kills the fun as well as hurt my wrists.
