I agree, I think the auto lock features is to prevent "other" people from getting into the car, rather than the passenger and driver opening it accidentally.
Correct. You have to shut the car down, to automatically unlock the doors. I found this a bit irritating when I took my buddys girl for a spin yesterday - went to drop her off, pulled the E-brake...and she cant get out lol. IMHO, if the car's at 0, and the E-brake is pulled in the stick, those doors should be unlocked.

No interior trunk release. Why?

No back up camera.

No fog lights.

It seems like there should be a bit more sound insulation in the rear near the tires as you get a lot of road noise and other noises from debris in the wheel wells.

These are mostly minor gripes. The car is fantastic to look at and drive. The navi is great as well. The Bose system is just fine for me. I buy new cars every 2 years or so, so I've had many, and I've never had one that was perfect, there were always a few things that drove me crazy, and this car is no exception.

they were more in line with light weight and balance than comfort items

All of those things combined don't weigh 10lbs. They don't have to be standard, but they should be an option on a $40k car.

I can't believe so many folks complained about the rear wiper missing on the 370... it was absolutely terrible looking on the 350, ruins the lines of the 350 completely... actually that was one of the reasons why I never bought a 350, the wiper just ruined the look for me - I am so happy to see it gone for the 370 ...

I think the mirrors should be heated, although I can't say it would annoy me as much as some of the other users seem to be...

Had this thread not been named "370z Complaints so far?" then those reading it and responding might do so in a different light. It might have fared better being named "370z Issues so far?"

I'm still really pissed off about the oil temp issues, especially since Nissan knows about it (Feb C&D). I called Nissan NA to complain and to try to get the oil and diff cooler put on. If anyone else has experience rising oil temps pushing 300 and rev restrictions make a stink this is BS>

Default Any actual issues that has not been resolved?

not to hijack this thread, are there any real serious concerns with the drivetrain, tranny, or something serious...all these issues noted are mere tadbits that come with any vehicle. If you know of a perfect vehicle, then you should of bought that instead.

I think the only real serious issue is the oil temp. While it's been "proven" that the temp is "okay" during normal driving, there's no way of really knowing how that'll hold up as time goes by. The bad part is that Nissan knows about it, but is not doing anything to address it.

Besides that, as of now, there's no serious mechanical problems yet, but a trend with the base model seats moving during hard driving has come up.

***Blindspots***
This would have been a perfect car to implement side-view cameras instead of mirrors. Nissan would also have gotten incredible publicity for having done so.

***Plastic Wrapping***
I keep finding little bits of plastic in the window and door frames that must have been protective door coverings when it was sent to the dealer. They are annoyingly difficult to remove.

***Fuel Gauge***
As already mentioned, looks dumb and loses some sophistication that the car otherwise has. Nobody what's a 'space car' with bars of lights and thats the feeling I get from it.

***Bluetooth Phonebook***
Why can't Nissan implement a system that downloads your whole phone book to the car? My 2007 Audi A4 had a speed dial phone book but also downloaded the entire phonebook so I could scroll through it on the car's computer to make a hands free call to anyone. On the Z, if they aren't manually programmed into the car, you have to pick up the phone to dial.

***Computer Display***
Having to scroll through all the information is tedious. Nissan could easily implement a design that shows multiple values at once. For example, why can't the car's range and the outside temperature show up together? There's no need to make them 'one at a time' with HUGE digits/letters.

Overall, there are some little things missing. A number of people have griped that a $38k car should have them included. However, my feeling is $38k gets you a AMAZING performer at an awesome value. Start adding in all the little extras and you have yourself an Infinity G37 for $47k.
