i've been driving the new 370z for about 1 week now. and the blind spots are killing me. it's kind of dangerous when trying to make a left lane change on the highway because if you can not see what's really on your left. you must move yourself forward to see it.
right lane changes are also a bit tough but at least you can see a lot more than on the left side. one other thing - there is a bit of noise while driving it, but the engine but from inside the interior. |

I've ordered the factory cargo mat to help absorb some of the high frequencies; we'll see if the idea works. Last edited by SoCal 370Z; 02-03-2009 at 11:34 PM. |

With all the road noise complaints from all the articles I have read so far...Is it really that terrible? I havent test drove yet cuz I am in Jersey and it is a disaster out here lately....I am curious to know how bad it really is? and can it be fixed or significantly reduced with a set of new tires?

It's not that bad. Although, I have noticed that on certain road surfaces it's really bad. Like there's this one stretch of road near me that was recently repaved, and it almost sounds musical when I drive on it. I'm pretty sure switching to a set of Michelin PS2's would help tons. That's what I ran on my 350 and I loved them.

The best solution is to treat the inside of the wheelwells. This will help with that and the tire/road noise. I plan on doing this soon, I'll post up more later. Here is where you can get the stuff: Sound Deadening Materials for Noise Reduction from Second Skin
