My complaints so far: 1. People complaining about the 370
Sorry folks, I like my car. I have had zero issues with it in the almost three years I've owned it. I put up with all the 370 bashing that goes on. In fact most of the time, I get a good chuckle with all the serious ailments this car seems to have. If one paid attention to all the complaints, you'd get the idea that the 370 is the worse vehicle ever built. Flame away, but I love my 370. (Or rep away if you agree.)

But the people that are complaining about the car OWN the car! After all this is a thread about the complaints of the car. Are you saying everyone should be quite and only listen to you? I've never found the perfect car and I'm sure I will have some complaints no matter what car I own. I'm not bashing you but this is a ridicoulus post. BTW I don't even beleive you that you have ZERO complaints unless you are just a complete 370Z Fanboi. I love my Z but it isn't perfect by any stretch.

Sorry if I offended you. This thread is not worth the effort.

Yeah, I love my Z. I dont really have any complaints. I am starting to get a slight, occasional grind into 3rd and 5th which is a prob but oh well. Itll get fixed one way or another. I grin ear to ear EVERY second Im in it. The blind spot can be a royal PIA sometimes though. Would have loved an oil cooler from the factory too. All small stuff, minus the trans issue. If I had too I would buy the car all over again. Im kinda biased though, I have a huge hard on for Z cars

You guys better keep it on topic or else you risk getting in trouble.
If we are picking at the Z i wish i had a heated steering wheel to go with my heated seats. O and i hate the stupid nissan burger emblem on the front bumper it looks like a big azz button.

The steering wheel doesn't telescope.
I have normal size torso, long legs. I want the seat all the way back, but then I have to stretch my arms/curl my back. PEBSWAS?

The high beam light is too bright and the volume control on the steering wheel should be swapped with the toggle switch.

Just got mine 3 weeks ago, biggest complaint coming from a 350z, no digital MPH in the gauge cluster... then no rear wiper.
Also why do i have the ipod connector when i cant connect it while keeping the cup holder center console in its spot. IDK where to put it when i plug in my iphone? Where do you guys move the insert in the console to? Also, ive had some clunking issues with into first when going slow, into second when slow and thats the only times, im not new to manual so i dont think its me? Any one with similar issues bring it to dealer? Otherwise, love my new Z same feeling i had every day in the 350 but even better! |

Only time you'd want to turn on high beams is when it's hard to see. Why is the blue dash light so blinding?????????????

NOT EXCLUSIVITY or being the cool guy on the block with something different. You knew what you got into when you bought the Z. 75% of our forum bought this car for reasons that are not condusive to what the cars purpose is built for. My only issue was lack of an oil cooler "ONLY" because this is a "PROPER" sports car and a heating issue in any capacity should not exist. Even with that issue, my activism toward it was a selfless act because I "MYSELF" will put my own in fitting of a car that will soon be a approx 550hp turbocharged car. Most of the forum doesn't care anyway so "why break a sweat???" But the lack of caring about the oil cooler but complaining about stereo's, toggles, trunk switches or lack there of, intell cruise control or lack there of, power folding mirrors and other minor bullsh1t that doesn't affect this cars overall performance is futile imho. This is why there's an aftermarket. Modifications arel limitless. Me personally, I feel every vswitch and every light is perfect. I think Nissan put every gauge in the perfect position and is perfectly readable. So in the long run if you have a lot of little quips about the ergonomics of this vehicle. YOU DID NOT MAKE GOOD USE OF YOUR TEST DRIVE. You bought this car on pure emotion. And I can think of one car that has more in features than the Z at a much lower price. The gencoupe. One at a slightly higher price. The bimmer 1 series and another that will give you 90% of its performance and attributes while doubling the feature list. The infiniti G37: I owned 2 G's and with aftermarket wider wheels and suspension setup. It rides almost exactly like a Z. You can get about 1.09g easily out of a modded g on the items mentioned. There controls are slightly better placed and more intuitive. Seats can go into better angles for more head and legroom, stereo is an 11 speaker bose system that kicks ***. Intell cruise is an option, your seats will have lumbar support on the sport model for long trips. 12 way power memory seats give u that perfect position. WoW! All that in a G??? Yeah and so much more! Its a proper sports car and gives you two extra seats. This is why Nissan makes 2 sport coupes. The Z... sh1t if I were NISSAN nav wouldn't even be an option. It would stop at touring and I would invest the extra 2k into a DCT option over the extremely good but needing of modification slushbox. So in reality, the Z offers more than necessary already. And no car is built as solidly in the price range unless ur buying a miata based on its doors. Then your saving about $10k. |

UKNOWN's contradictory fanboy rant aside, I think my car is basically perfect for what I bought it for and how I intend to use it. The fact that my complaints are minor things like a high beam indicator that blinds me at night or a toggle switch that is easily bumped and changes the radio station during fast handiwork of the steering wheel is a testament to my car being suited to me and my driving style. I have yet to need an oil cooler since my car was built to be driven on public roadways. The brakes have never given up on me. It came with enough power. My car didn't "need" any of the mods I performed on it. If the measure of a perfect car that's missing essential pieces of equipment to do something it wasn't designed for, along with its mod-ability, then we'd all be playing with turboed Civics.

Fanboy would be to say that the Z is the only best car out there. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying for the types of complaints that are thru this complaint list. There are better cars suited for quite a few. That's what I'm saying. As far as lights. The are HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE LIGHTS. THEY MAKE A PROJECTOR DOWNGRADE LIGHT FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK THE Hi-DISCHARGE LIGHT IS TOO INTENSE. That's what I mean about silly complaints. I don't contradict myself. I'm just saying. If we are going to make a complaint. Let it be something that is condusive to what this car is designed to do and not doing. Truth is not EVERY car is built for every person. There's nothing fanboy about it. Its just true. Nissan 370Z Head Lights, Tail Lights, Turn Signals and Markers - 370Z Tuner Last edited by UNKNOWN_370; 11-13-2011 at 09:10 AM. |
