don't just dry it out, the rain water that got in has certain minerals and pollutants in it, by just drying it out all the crap will be left in your upholstery.

That happened to me, I just did a claim to the insurance under comprehensive and the dealer took care of it.

Remember that many electric and/or electronics wiring and componenets are underneath the carpet. GL
