Got my windows tinted! Pics inside

Got my windows tinted the other day. I think it looks great, the black on black looks really menacing. A pic of my GSD also included.

No 15%. In hindsight I should have gotten the 25% because I may get a ticket for how dark it turned out. 35% is the legal tint here.

My Accord had illegal tint and I didn't have a problem in 2 1/2 years. For some reason this just looks really dark, maybe because of the black paint. Supposedly the local cops have been cracking down in the past 6 months. I guess the lame speed traps aren't enough.

Here's the Accord for comparison.

Love it! You appear to own the car of my dreams!

How much do you pay in the USA? In England I've paid £170 for both of my last Z tints (no front screen tint, of course) That works out at about $230, at current rates.

Thanks! I paid $175. It was nice because he has a mobile service and comes right to your house. He said it's very slow this time of year and the economy, but his normal summer rate is $225. I did give him some extra gas money though.

Nice tint.

Yeah IMO the 15% was probably too dark- but hopefully you never get stopped but if you do always good to roll down both passenger windows so the COP doesn't hopefully
notice the dark tint in your windows.

With the Z's blind spots possibly being a problem already....how much harder are the tints making your driving?

I could imagine at night, changing lanes and also reversing could be much harder with the tints?

I'm getting a black 370 like yours too and I plan on getting 5's but having second thoughts because it's hard to see out of the car to begin with.

Moderate tints don't make the car harder to see out of, they just make it harder to see into, so your worries about tints affecting changing lanes and reversing are unfounded, unless you go for extreme tinting.

If you're concerned about reversing, get parking sensors or a reversing camera.

All I'd say is, if you're new to Z's, be very aware of the width of the wheel arches - It's a wide car and easy to scrape.

...oh, and go for the tints (if it's legal!!! ), but don't go too dark.

It was $40k and change. I had a trade that I couldn't get rid of so I had to pay MSRP. No sales tax in Oregon.
