i'd agree with dreamer in that the auto will turn lights on in underpasses and tunnels, etc. moments where i really don't need them. there's nothing circuit-wise that distinguishes auto-on

i'd agree with dreamer in that the auto will turn lights on in underpasses and tunnels, etc. moments where i really don't need them. there's nothing circuit-wise that distinguishes auto-on from manual-on, just one gets info from a photosensor, and one is a mechanical switch on the control stalk. if the auto flashes on/off under bridges, etc. when i don't need them, i'd reckon they would shorten your head light life span.
