I just purchased my 09 SR Touring/Sport and when I got home I found my lip in the hatch, still in the plastic. Now I have to drive 2 hours back to the same dealership to have it installed.

The dealer installs the lower lip when you order the Sport Pkg.
Someone can chime in if I'm wrong.

Mine came installed at dealership and i have the touring, non sport. A coworker who purchased a non sport had the same situation you did, the lip was sitting in the hatch, still wrapped in plastic. Just a dealership screwup, they have many.

The lip is either installed as part of the "Aero Package"(just front and rear spoilers) or part of the "Sports Package" (aero pkg+ brakes and other goodies), and in both cases should be done at the dealer. Good luck getting it installed.

it's only four screws, so easy a caveman can do it.

no need to drive two hours back to the dealer.

I waiting for someone to come out with a decent front lip that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. But for now the lower aero lip is good.

the early 09 production models doesnt have premade holes. you gotta drill your own holes. the dealer said i had to pay labor but i complained and they said they would do it for free but they said they needed to take my car to the body shop.

dealer...cause they did a shitty job installing mine. i had to push the side clips in myself (not that it was a big deal but they screwed up the rear mudflap install too on the passenger side which i had to fix...) i feel sorry for those that dont work work on cars cause you'd be wasting time taking the car back to the dealer to get both fixed.

**** like that is what scares me and makes me refuse to take my car to the stealership unless for warranty work, or even for warranty work for that matter. if they **** up something like an aero lip or a mudflap, am i supposed to trust them to tear apart an engine or a transmission????????

thanfully i'm mechanically inclined so i try to do as much as i possibly can in my driveway and avoid going to mechanics in general

jep... definitely against taking any of my cars to the dealer unless it's a warranty fix.

even if the mechanic did a great job, their porters will smash your new lip into the tire stop. hahaha.

Is it worth buying? How hard can it be to install? I'm sure it's just a couple of plastic clips.
