Pheonix smash!!!!
I managed to go this long in this city without anything happening to my car, and then I get off work to find this. I'm not sure exactly how it happened; I assume someone with a pickup managed to back into it or someone else pulled up into the drive too far, then backed out. They managed to avoid the hard plastic area, and scraped up only the front nose. If you have trouble seeing it, I am sorry...the pic was taken by cell phone. The damage is to the left and beneath the Nissan logo, and its FAR more visible to the naked eye.
For the record, I back in everywhere I go, to head off the inevitable "maybe you pulled in and hit the wall". I did not. At any rate, I'm thinking it should buff out rather easily, its just going to cost me to have the procedure done, and in the meantime I have this most unsightly blemish staring at me. Just wanted to share...another member has gone and had his ride wounded. Ugh...and right at the criminal justice center, too. Anyway and also...hello! It's been awhile!

hit it up good and hard with a cleaner and wax over it, should mask it up a bit.

I appreciate the advise, Red. Weather is just now starting to turn around here; if it sticks I'll be taking her out during the RDOs Monday or Tuesday for a thorough cleaning session, and perhaps a trip to the nearby body shop for a quick estimate.

Hard to see in the pic because the car is black, but anyway I would be pissed too.

ouch. talk to your dealer to see if they have a mobile touchup place doing their used cars. some of those guys do amazing work to hide small bemishes like that...and wont cost you a fortune.
