d00d sweet!

Nismo vs Sport/Base is purely preference when you remove a few things:
  • Having a numbered car.
  • Small, somewhat decent suspension upgrades.
  • Kind of an exhaust upgrade.

That leaves the body kit, spoiler (if thought of separately), and wheels. Cosmetics.

Owning a Nismo myself, I do know where the OP is coming from when he says he likes the "stock" look. Me personally, I'm probably 75/25 on that ratio. Every once in a while I second guess myself on my Nismo purchase. The spoiler is probably the most common reason. It's big, but it's functional and still fits the car without looking out of place. Some members have even either gone with the Sport package spoiler or something completely aftermarket. I'm considering the S-Tune Nismo spoiler actually.

Some people like it, some don't. Same goes with certain wheels, aftermarket body parts, seats, headlight conversions, even performance mods. I personally, like it. Even more so when she's clean and the sun is shining

Default Nismo

Its alright, no need of the argument. There are always people that talks trash about how a Rolax watch isn't that good at keeping time compared to a Timex quartz. I think its called sour grapes.

Nismo looks so much better by far! It still looks factory, and not aftermarket ricer.

Actually, a more valid comparison would be: does a $40000 Rolex with a titanium shell tell time better than its $33000 version that doesn't have a titanium case? Virtually identical internals, and all.

Obviously, the answer is no.

And of course the people who spent more will think its sour grapes lol.

Or people who wanted it but couldn't afford it put it down to justify their purchase and boost their ego.

I think that post about the availability of the the Nismo body parts is up to 14K read it's appearant a lot of people like it. Anyway haters will hate, that's why they are what they are.

You're starting to sound like those neighbors of mine who drive a Hummer... actually, I should say my ex-neighbors, as they lost their house due to buying stuff they couldn't afford

I've never seen someone beat around the bush so much, just hurry up and post up that we wasted our money on a nismo so you can feel better about your base Z and be on your way. Yeah we get it, you feel better about buying the base to the nismo, great, whatever stokes your ego. If you think people paid $40,000 for a nismo you couldn't be more wrong, try 1100 under invoice when mine was said and done, not much more then the base/sport tag. Not to mension a better resale then your base/sport. I could have gone either way on the sport or the nismo, love them both. Thanks for reading.....

No, in this case, the $40000 Rolex does keep time better than $33000 one. The Nismo has much better suspension, aero parts, wheels, more power/torque, better seats, body dampers. So its not just the same rolex with a titanium case. Which means for you Nismo haters, SOUR GRAPES!

Hey Vipor - care to put your input on this? Im not going to bother since, god forbid, I'm not a NISMO owner (BTW, G Fo12ce, I had definitely squashed anything with you or the rest of the thread for that matter, but this guy takes the cake...). The fact that you actually listed aero parts makes me chuckle, though...

He just meant the body kit, which, visually, is the defining trait of the Nismo imo. And from the prices of these pieces individually, it's definitely the biggest chunk of the "value' of the Nismo.
