Last night when i was going home, i was turning left and i hit the throttle a little bit and the car started dancing from left to right... VDC was on, but it didn't kick in and cut of the throttle or anything. I got my car reflashed when i installed the intake over the weekend. i wonder can that turn the VDC off somehow? to my knowledge when i hit the gas and the car started sliding, VDC should have kicked in and corrected the car?

I've been driving mine with VDC off the passed few months. I left it on when it was raining a couple months ago. VDC is a good thing to have if you are a beginner driver or any snow, or rain or whateve. But like I said before, unless you are an idiot or a beginner driver, you should be fine with vdc off if you want that normal car feel. It's all about throttle control, if you are flooring the gas pedal all the time, I don't think you would have control over the Z or any rear wheel drive car in corners. Why do you think VDC also controls throttle response. VDC is for beginners. But like I said, don't be an idiot, such as rampaging through public roads in the first place, I'm talking about AutoX or circuit training
Otherwise, yeah they have VDC for a reason. For beginners. The only way you can tell how VDC affects your performance is if you go to the drag strip or whatever, test your 1/4 or how many seconds it takes to get to 100 miles with it on, and off. Obviously I recommend the drag strip for a reason. Anyhow, My CRX b16a got a better time than the 370z VDC On. When I turned off VDC, my time significantly improved by 1 second dusting both the crx, and VDC ON times, and I ran quite a few times. |
