Do you drive with Vehicle Dynamic Control(VDC) off or on?

Yes, you are correct. The slip light comes on either way.

i only take my z on dry days, unless the temps are 50F and under it's turned off.

been driving FR for a while so i know my limits. i dont push it, but i dont like it dictating how my car behaves.

I don't drive with it at the track where I push the car to it's absolute limits hence I don't ever drive with it on the street. Yes it will rob you of power in turns if you push it.... besides, sometimes it's fun to kick it out a bit.

When it rains... always with it on.

Had an incident the other day... a very familar corner for me on the way home from badminton, it's a sweeping 270 degree loop on to a freeway, anyway in my previous car this would be a perfectly safe place where i'd floor the car in 3rd gear on the way out of the loop to get up to speed of the freeway traffic.

It was a wet day, in third gear, i did three quarter throttle in 3rd... and the vdc light went crazy... just to think, if it had been off, i would have scraped the right side of my rear bumper... never in my wildest dreams would i have thought that this car would break traction in that situation...

Two learnings that day... 1. this car is a damn powerful car and I being new to this level of power need to take the car on to a skid pan and learn to control it, 2. don't turn vdc off...

Learn to Drive (smoothly). It only kicks in when you're doing something stoopid or dangerous.

ON, if you have any doubts search or crashes or accidents on the forum. A majority of crashes where Z's were not hit by other drivers were caused by mishandling with the VDC off! I personally don't like VDC interfering with my spirited driving buy I don't want my car in the shop either.

basically ill put it this way... when driving w/ it on do you often see yellow squiggly lines poping up in the dash? if so - you are sliding and you should probably keep it off... however - if you have gotten used to driving it with the slip light off then i dont see why you cant turn off VDC and do the same... it is a learning tool which teaches you how far you can push your car...

fix'd. still don't agree on the roads, VDC is a great safety feature. you want to unlock the car's full potential? TRACK it.
