First Oil Change & 370Z Roadster Envy

1 Attachment(s)
Got my first oil change (I didn't do the one around 1000 miles like you all did..??) at the Nissan dealer today. Boy, $90 for an oil change. It only took about 30 minutes tho AND they fixed my passenger door that was making a weird knocking noise (some strap and bolt was loose inside they said.) At least now I'm good for another couple months before an oil change, I guess and now it doesn't sound like the door is going to fall off when a friend gets in :)

I saw one of the new Roadsters in the showroom... I used to have a little red convertible Mitsubishi GS-T Spyder Convertible about 10 years ago...this made me sorta wonder if I should have gotten another convertible..sigh...they had a PG with all the options I have Roadster there...but it would ultimately probably be wasted on me as I would never have the top down much. But it sure looked pretty on that showroom floor!

yeah, the roadsters are beautiful cars, so much more improved from the 350 version, the a$$ end on the 350's was waaaay too long, glad nissan made the necessary design changes. I absolutely HATE those wheels though.

What's funny is the 350Z never really made me think, "gotta have one of those"...especially the convertible. I couldn't figure out why I didn't want one, I just didn't...but.. The 370Z DID do that.. and now this Roadster...Sharp lookin' car! But..I love my ZEE :) I just tell myself I don't need any more wrinkles from the sun..so no convertible for me!

Those chrome rims are gross

PapoZalsa 02-19-2010 07:11 PM

Nice red color roadster but those rims need to go.

Zaggeron 02-19-2010 07:15 PM

I agree about the wheels. Nasty!

I agree! The PG one outside had regular rims (I think?) like I have on mine now. (not shiny) Although, everyone keeps trying to talk me into doing that smoked/dark looking color. I've never had darker rims like that before tho.

Have never cared for the lines on the roadster. The sloping line from the roof to the spoiler on the coupe are great. Not on the roadster. IMO.

AND, Tammy, if I remember correctly ( LOL ), you mentioned being too old for loud music or something...so you'd probably get tired of the wind whipping your hair. ;)

My, my, that is one pretty car. I have the red coupe and it's beautiful, too. But there is always something about a convertible, with the top down on the showroom floor that is eye catching and irresistible.

I agree about the lines..and I see I made the right decision with my coupe every time I'm walking towards it to get in.. Love this thing!!

And..err...uh...yes...I'm on the older side :o But I actually like my music loud..I just couldn't find the [non-existent] numbers on my Nav stereo--a classic geriatric moment for me. hehe. But the wind making my hair fly everywhere and getting stuck in my lip gloss would drive me insane. It's a girl thing.

Yes..with the top down in the showroom..sparkly lights..I was drawn to it... but then when my own car was done and they drove it up to me outside as I waited, I grinned from ear to ear..knowing that it was mine. :)

I was never a fan of rag tops but the more I see of the Z Roadsters the more I like them. Though I'd hardly ever be able to have the top down

VCuomo 02-20-2010 12:35 AM

Personally, I like chrome rims - not sure about those rims on the roadster though...

Chromed or not chromed, those rims are still ugly!

Rag top saves some weight but a hardtop vert would of looked sweet... that's if it could even fit....
Coupes over verts any day

Indeed they are, I think some Nissan/Infinitis wheel designers of recent ought to be fired. Have you guys seen those horrible rims that they have on the '10' G37 non sports....Hideous!
