Do you guys find it hard to parallel park this car?

i live in california so parking spaces are not as generous as in other places. And I find it really hard to parallel park this car because visibility is so limited. Also i have to be really careful not to scratch the front/rear bumper. Not only that i have to make sure i don't park too close to the curb and damage my wheels. (I have the sports package wheels)

Yeah I do, it feels a lot wider than the 350 plus with these wheels I get extra paranoid. I re-adjust the side mirrors down more so I can see the curb, that really helps.

oddly, i find it really easy to parallel in this car. my last car was a scion tc, which is about similar in size, but i can parallel & back into spots much easier in the Z. possibly due to the massive rear view mirrors on the Z. a rear view camera would be nice, because you do lose sight of what might be directly behind the car and isn't tall enough to view.

if the mirrors auto tilted down when you reverse (like in bmw's) would be neat too, helps with viewing where the curb is.

I am not nearly as comfortable parallel parking this car as I am other cars because of the very limited visibility like you said and because I would kick myself if I were to grind my wheels on the curb (Make that double if my wife were in the car with me). I have moved my side mirrors so far out to cover my blind spots that they are of no help with parallel parking now.

My wife cannot parallel park at all. For years I have tried to tell her its easy, and show her just how easy it is. Stop, back rear end in, swing front into place. no problem. perfect on the first try. except now I am (over cautiously) easing in like an old woman facing the task for the first time in her life. Needless to say my wife will never try it now.

Probably the easiest car I've ever driven to parallel park. Besides a Prius that had a back-up camera that I rented in England.

Yes. I simply don't park in parallel spots. However, if I absolutely have to take the spot and have no alternative at all, I'll have my wife get out to check and make sure I don't scrape the wheels. If the guy to the front or rear is so close I'm worried about bumper taps, I'll have her stand in front of my car or behind it to make sure her body buffers my Z from contact. If she gets too squashed and there isn't enough room left for her to wriggle out from between the bumpers, then I'll know the space is unacceptable and I'll back up to let her wriggle free and I'll leave to find a bigger space. I usually try to be polite and pause for her to get back in the car. Moral is the best tactic to safeguard your Z from damage when parallel parking: get married.

This reminded me of the first time I had to parallel park my car, I was thinking the exact same thing. It was in front of this coffee shop in Downtown San Diego. I was on a date with this girl and I didn't want to seem like a chump by passing up a great spot right in front of the shop. It wasn't that tight but it was the first time I had to parallel park this car. And to make matters worse, there are tables outside for everyone to sit(you know the ones with the green umbrellas). Anyway, as I was parking everyone was looking at my car and pointing, the 370 was still new at the time. This did not help me AT ALL. Anyway I kept my cool and managed to do it on my second attempt(not bad right?). There was also this old couple sitting right next to my car and they both complimented my car and my parking. Funny enough, minutes later as we were sitting outside sipping our coffee. A girl pulls up in a big'ol caddy, and she parked that thing in this really tight spot like a champ! Just one try! it was really impressive! The old couple congratulated her on her parking and said out loud "now that's how you parallel park!" as they looked at me....

I do parallel park my car but be rest assured I leave atleast 6" or more room to the curb! So what if the Z sticks out more than every other car... lol its that much easier to find after night out at the clubs. hehehe and you find yourself saying that is one sexy as hell car from like a block or two away lol. I am like mick I would hate to curb my rims!

Havent tried yet.. not sure if i'm ever gonna park it though I just drive it then put it back in the garage The only time I've left her is to pump gas.. Wife says I'm an Idiot

Used to parallel park with my stock wheels but I've been avoiding it like the plague with my new wheels. The lips just extend out too much for comfort. :/

Yep! I'm pretty good at parallel parking, and I find this one to be difficult. Especially because, as you say, I really don't want to ding my wheels. And lack of visibility doesn't help.

I've paralell parked a few times. The first time I was really scared cause of the limited visibility....but i guess you get used to it and it grows on you

I bet the NISMO wing doesn't help much either. You guys are making me a little worried about it now. I am usually able to just whip right in in the first try unless it is tight, but even then I would just be a little more cautious. I don't think the NISMO should be any worse in the vis department than an S13. I have my fingers crossed.
