When turning tires makin noise!?
Ok first of all stock touring + sport package 370z. when turning really hard to the right and maybe left and moving foward not in reverse im getting a rubbing sound but not against the car its between the tire and the pavement like the potenzas are twisting/rubbing when you turn really sharp. lol does that make any sense? anyways help me out if there are anyideas or this is normal.. umm and the car has 1500 miles on it also. thanks guys

this has been covered in other threads (run a search before posting a topic, hehe). from what i've read i've concluded that its a combo of the cold tires and the vlsd. i've only experienced it after the z's been parked in the cold for awhile. on days warmer than 40*, i never hear it.
its normal, don't worry about it. |

Mine does it too. I just thought it was normal considering how low the z sits and the tires/suspension combo. Let us know Dave!?

Guys, does it happen only when it's cold out? There have been plenty of threads about this before....
It's the tires being put at an severly awkward angle while still trying to grip the pavement beneath them. These tires are ment to grip the road no matter what but in cold temperatures the rubber cab not preform the way they are built to. I live in Canada and when the temperatures dropped before storing my car for the winter mine would do the same every morning turning out of my driveway.... Nothing to be worried about! |
