Why do you name your Z's?
 

For those who do, I just want to understand the concept of naming your cars. What did you name yours and why? Thought it would be interesting to know.

I thought of naming mine but my wife calls it The Mistress. She was the one who named it. I'm not fully sold on this but my wife is.

So far I like the translation of mistress in:

German --- Herrin sounds like a guy
Japanese --- Aijin
Swedish -- alskarrina (karrina sounds good)

I call mine "car", "it", "370Z", "the 370" because it's a car. It isn't alive, and if it dies, I don't care, or I care a LOT less than almost anything else... Correction, I care less about EVERY car over ANYTHING that's living, LOL

I've thought about naming my car, but couldn't come up with a name I liked for her.

Why would I name her? Well, why not? We personify many things in life, why not one more... especially one this beautiful?

I call my Z The Lady Mistress, why because my wife says that I treat my Z as if she was my Mistress always keeping up with her and making sure that there is nothing wrong.

For whatever reason I don't subscribe to the normal female names..

My Mustang was named "Torque"
My Z is named "Casper"

I pick something that fits the car

my next Z will be named Tsuki after the Japanese word for moon only because it will be midnight blue with grey leather interior resembling the white moon in the midnight blue sky lol

I call mine Yoshi because I've always wanted a pet yoshi when I was a kid

I just can't call me car by a name without feeling silly about it.
