U-Haul Car Trailer with 370Z

QUESTION: Anyone ever used a U-Haul Car Trailer to transport a 370Z? I am trucking the Z to Canada next week, and wondering if there are any issues with clearance.

Default U-Haul Car Trailer with 370Z

QUESTION:

Anyone ever used a U-Haul Car Trailer to transport a 370Z?

I am trucking the Z to Canada next week, and wondering if there are any issues with clearance.

I trucked my Ferrari this way, and had to use some 2X8's to increase the front end clearance and ramp angle as stated on U-Haul's website. Worked out just fine.

Anyone with any experiance with this?

The first word in this thread scares me, especially when it ends with 370z.

P.S Why in the f are coming to Canada? Although we do probably have less snow then you

Are you talking a flat bed trailer, with all 4 wheels on the trailer? Or are you talking about just lifting the front 2 wheels?

Yes, a flat bed trailer, with all 4 wheels on the trailer. I would NEVER use a car dolly with the Z.

REASON: I've got too much baggage etc. to fit in the Z. AND the roads might getting snow or ice etc..

I've got a guy who has done this with my Ferrari a couple of times ( just didn't want to drive that the distance + baggage space also an issue.)

Anyone with any experiance using the UHaul with the Z? And not just speculation!

The front chin on the Z might be a bit lower than the F car. So, I'm not sure if it will work out the same as the Ferrari.

Well, next week is the date. Maybe I'm the first to ever put a 370Z on a UHaul car carrier. So, I keep everyone posted for future reference. You never know if you might need this info some day. (for trips to the track etc.)

Flat bed you should be fine. You may need some 2x4's under the tires before you go on the ramp for the nose not to scrap. The fronts on the Z's are pretty low. Other than that you should be good. Also use the 2x4's when taking the Z off.

Definately. I used 6 -18" 2"X8"'s as recomended by Uhaul for the Fcar. Placed under ramps for decreasing attack angle, and under front tires for increased front spoiler clearance. Worked out fine

The Z seems just a bit lower in the front though

Be careful opening the door after you get it on the trailer. I doubt the door will clear the trailer fender and I doubt the fender is removable. More than likely you'll need to climb out the window (then use your key in the keyhole to roll it up).
