If we didn't have them everyone would do 100mph all the time. Thankfully cops give a 15mph grace, because going 50mph is like driving backwards. Their only doing their jobs.
Regardless even if it was true that Police have no intrest in you or me putting their lives at risk is not acceptable. That's the whole point of my statement.

As I'm sure you're well aware not everyone is good at their job or should even be working in the field they work in but the majority of cops do it because they want to help. Why would you pick a job where most people dislike you (until they come save you from the bad guy of course)? That's kind of like saying that Firemen don't really care if they put out fires or Ambulance attendants don't really care about saving lives.

Would you pick a job where your life is at an elevated risk every day? Where people automatically hate you in general? Its likely one of the most thankless jobs around.

I hate getting caught for doing something I'm not suppose to be doing (eg speeding). I can think of every reason in the world why I shouldn't be getting a ticket but the fact is by signing for your licence you've agreed to obey the laws of the road or suffer the consequences.

Maybe you can explain what you mean by Police officers protecting citizens is BS....

I know a lot of guys that have become cops because they have nothing else going for them, couldn't make it through college, and it is a REALLLLYY easy job with good benefits.

I don't know about their job being "REAALLLYY easy". Unless, the guys you know are policing a small town or "nice" area.

But this thread has been entertaining though. It's a bit slow at work!

If your going all out you might as well buy a radar jammer too. It is illegal to own and if they pull you over its mandatory jail time! I am not sh!tting you one bit mandatory jail time for a radar jammer... like it is harmful to anyone

Other than that here is what I would do just for sake of argument: *I am not condoning this in any way shape or form*

1) paint car flat charcoal grey with a digital camo pattern of blacks and grays. This will break the car up and make it blend in with the road from distances.
2) Vinyl overlays in the same fashion over the taillights *perforated of course* Painted headlight housing in the same manner.
3) The quietest exhaust you can custom fab
4) lighting kill switch
5) IR Bulbs installed in DRLs *high powered*
6) Night vision monocle over one eye *NVG are known for loss of depth perception. Also NVG's have a limited field of view. Combining normal eye sight and NVG has yielded the best results*
7) Flip up plates
8) electric privacy glass over plate and windows except front
9) Camera dome on roof with Day/Night HD cameras in all 4 directions
10) Drop down monitor from headliner
11) Runflats!!!
12) Night Rider Tractor Trailor truck on call 24/7/365
13) Get out of Jail free card!
14) Last but not least as much power and grip you can get to the ground! Gotta be able to be gone in 5-10 secs!

Thats doing it right! and to be on the safe side you can always throw in a flux capacitor!!! and say FOCK you Piggies travel through time Mother Fockers!!!! hahahahahahahaha

You forgot the point about adding heat shields so his car, so it doesn't show up on the thermal camera of the police helicopter. Reduce your heat signature!

If you are really giong to get the cb radio and go all out on this stealth project than you have the wrong car. You are going to have to trade in your Z, get the New Maro ( or buy a used TA) and put the Biggest Gold Phoenix sticker that you can find on the hood. Note also that your car will have to be black. You will have to change your name to Bandit Jr. and you will also have to find a b*tch as ugly as Sally Fields which shouldn't be too hard. GL w/ your quest...

Didn't read the whole post and this is just a somewhat related question:

(and maybe more for AK than others)

In my RSX, I ran a straight cord up from the dash around the windshield (behind the plastic molding) and over to the rear-view mirror where the connector popped out and I plugged it into my Escort 8500. The windshield caps are so pathetic that I used silicone inside the cups to "glue" it to the glass and keep it stuck there right above the mirror.

Looking to mount the Escort in my Z, of course and I see there is this matrix of black dots around that area of the windshield. GRRRRR !!!

So, teh question:

Where are you guys mounting your detectors? I can tell you right now, I don't fancy the look of an exposed cord on my dash at all.

Goop or Shoe Goo is the ultimate semi-permanent adhesive. It will stick pretty much anything to anything and you can usually slowly pry the two piece apart depending on the strenght of both pieces. You only need a thin film and you can usually use tape to clamp most bits on with.
