I feel like Jack Bauer should be trying to take you down

but seriously no ticket has ever upped my insurance, just two accidents

XBadgerX 02-03-2010 02:25 PM

Is this what happens when mommy and daddy buy cars for their kids?

jbjones85 02-03-2010 02:27 PM

maybe not doing crazy illegal things will solve the need for this stuff..... hmmmmm

I currently have:

Valentine V1
Flip down license plate holder
Blinder Laser detector

Looking to purchase:

CB Radio
Police scanner
IR camera (for nite driving w/o lights)
Custom kill switches ( kill all lights while driving, etc)

I take these threats very seriously as a ticket now not only affects your license, but your insurance WILL increase. So...what do you think??

I read your post and the first thing that came to mind were the following lyrics to a great Black Sabbath tune, "Paranoia will destroy ya". Why not just obey the rules of the road with the odd bit of spirited driving?

That is one of my favorite movies.

CB Radio? Really?

Good luck with the police scanner too. Very illegal in some states to have one in the car.

If you ever do get pulled over, the cops are going to give you a pretty hard time when they see all that stuff your planning on putting in your car and will likely tag you with multiple offences instead of hitting you up for a simple speeding ticket. If they don't pull you over for speeding they'll find another reason to pull you over. They always do.

Why not try driving legally? The amount of money you're spending to TRY and avoid the law, could be used for a defensive driving course that WILL lower your insurance premium.

Just sayin...

Actually, drug runners used to do this in the late 80's up and down alligator alley in Florida. So it is not that far fetched.

I don't know what your priorities are, but they seem to be a bit askew if you ask me...

Don't forget your stealth paint, and you have to rework all the body panels to be perfectly flat with sharp edges!

SMJane_Again 02-03-2010 05:10 PM

Sounds like someone read Alex Roy's The Driver: My Dangerous Pursuit of Speed and Truth in the Outlaw Racing World... Makes for a great read, but definitely NOT something to try and replicate.

By the way, if you wanted a stealth car, the 370z was probably not the smartest platform to start with. Please just take your car to the track occasionally if you want to blow off a little steam, instead of setting yourself up to be the lead story on the local news. Please.

it isn't stealth if everyone is aware of what you are doing

oh i fully understand that this has been done, i've seen videos of a guy that likes to drive at nighttime with lights off wearing night vision goggles...however, this thread was supposedly created for the sole purpose of eluding police due to "economic conditions" and do not make driving a passenger car on public roads at night time with your lights off any less dangerous

i'm surprised no one has brought up retrofitting the Z with a smoke screen or oil slicks

anyways, stealth mode is for the weak..when i traffic millions of dollars of drugs, i like to take the brute force approach and take my nuclear powered armored mech...as you can see i just got 4-point racing seats installed

Biggest difference between kill switch and cutting the lights off is when you hit the brakes they still don't light up.
