On to ACC mode

I remember this coming up in a discussion on the boards once before but it was sort of skipped. Is it possible to go from on to ACC mode? Ironically

Ironically I have done it, but not sure if the car just had a weird moment since I have never been able to re-create what happened. So many variables in what could have happened, clutch might have been in or not, gear was in 1st or N, e-brake on/off, plus more.

So you want to go from the motor running and drop down to ACC vs. a complete shut-down?

Exactly, say you are waiting for someone as they go into a store and want to listen to the radio but not run the motor. Simple method with a normal key/turn style, but with push button I have yet to find a way to do it. I skimmed the manual once before and doing it again now, but have never found anything.

i donno, try holding it down for 3 seconds... you should still have power steering and all as safety mode. it's not in acc mode though, but in the ON position. i think that's wat you ironically experienced.

just hit the button twice.

Yeah I think you have to cycle through the OFF position, no way to back up.
