I'm going to be buying a 370Z and this will be my first "new" car. What are the break in rules? No heavy acceleration? But for how long?

The break-in procedure is documented in the manual. But here are the highlights:

It's a Z, not an Aveo.
Maybe in the city it's easy to go slow, but my 15 mile commute involves passing and braking. With the 6MT it's nearly impossible to pass in a timely/safe manner and keep it below 4k PRM. Last edited by Pushing_Tin; 01-18-2009 at 12:44 AM. |

Proper way to break in a Z:
1. Caress its lines softly with your fingertips 2. Whisper that you love it 3. Push the start button 4. Dump that effen clutch and jam the effen gas |
