My first 2010 Z experience.
I picked up my new 2010 Z last Saturday. It was flatbedded from 150 miles away. Car had only 9 miles when I picked it up.
I was so excited that my wife and I decided to cruise the whole saturday night up and down the beach. I put 70 miles on it on day one. On Sunday morning, my wife woke me up at 8am. I was still sleepy, I was so angry at her. But she told me she wanted to cruise to Napa Valley. I asked her why? she said she enjoyed other drivers looking at our new Z. So i jumped out of bed immediately. We put another 70 miles on the odometer. ~150 in two days. . I could not remember how many people were looking at our brand new Z. For the first time in my life, i had people come up to us and compliment the car. That made my day!!! Thank you Nissan. I dont know why. So far i had about 4 or 5 punks in Mustangs that pulled alongside my Z at the intersections and wanted to race me. what's wrong with these drivers? |

Nice, congrats. You'll definitely enjoy it. I drove to Monterey over the weekend, and put over 150 miles :-D

Congrats on the Z. I see your really enjoying it. I don't want that attention though. Definitely don't want ppl coming up to me asking about the car or draw looks from other drivers. That's not why I purchased the vehicle.

I think you answered your own question. They're Mustang drivers!

hehe, yeah, its fun when people compliment your car, makes ya feel good inside i've had some of the folks in my apt complex chase me down because they wanted to check it out.
driving it around, you definitely get some looks here and there...maybe not as much as the new camaro (my friend's camaro definitely gets more looks than my Z), but its still an attn getting...especially when you floor it enjoy the car! |

If you have to go away on trips you better lock that car up or she will drive it and get all the attention without you being there to say HEY!

That's so funny your wife likes the attention the z brings. Enjoy the z.

I don't have any probs with Mustangs, but I'm finding that people who drive these:
...are giving me all kinds of aggro that I never had when I drove BMWs. I'm new to this kind of weirdness. Is there some weird 'beef' between Accord drivers and newer Nissan drivers that I'm unaware of? About 6 times now, I've been glared at, revved at and not been driving fast enough for different people driving this specific model. What gives?

I mainly get it with mustangs or civics...pretty retarded if you ask me. comes with the territory though, you drive a sports car, they're gonna wanna race. bone stock civic would tailgate me so for the safety of my car, i got about 10 car lengths ahead of him in a short period of time

Hmmm....Maybe she likes the attention a bit TOO much! Letting her out alone in the car seems a risk here..... |
