Exterior Lighting Upgrade - Headlights, Tail Lights, and Signals

A lot of people have been asking me recently about how to improve the lighting output on their car without switching to aftermarket headlights, and I just made a video with Morimoto where I switched to their aftermarket LED turn signals, reverse lights, and 5K headlight bulbs. Check it out!

LasFit LED conversion over any aftermarket bulb is the way to go, speaking from experience as I've done both. Additionally you get immediate on/off when using the flash function which is useless with HID bulbs.

LED aftermarket bulbs in a factory xenon projector never yields good results. You can't tell me otherwise. The led does not disperse light the same way a factory xenon bulb does.

The best upgrade is $100 Osram nexgen cool blue intense.
The second best is the $50 morimoto bulbs.

What aftermarket hid bulb did you try? No-name $25 amazon hid bulbs?

Honestly your end results for the headlights don't show much of a difference. A better test would have been to show the night time light output of both bulbs before and after during a night drive.

I have both morimoto bulbs and osram bulbs in both of my cars and I know the morimoto is indeed a upgrade over factory Phillips bulbs. I'm just saying the video footage you showed at the end doesn't show much of a difference due to testing it in a well-lit garage parked so close to a wall.

A true test would be the lights shining on a flat wall 20 feet away in a completely dark environment (no tables or benches obstructing the flat wall) or simply take the car for a drive on a dark back road with no street lights.

The LASFIT LED system is heads and tails above the Osram night breaker HID and Garax HID both with STi lenses everyone used to recommend when I began on the forums 7 years ago. So you just got told otherwise by someone with experience in both, while you never provided your experience with LED's that supposedly "never yield good results".

I accept your apology for assuming I employ cheap parts as well. :owned:

I wouldn't put your Morimoto junk in a golf cart. :gtfo2:

I'm SOL on those - when you go to morimoto projectors - it's impossible to get the lockring and that LED bulb to work together... you'd need a way to seat the led bulb with the projector...

So I'd just go with an LED bulb projector combo as an entire unit:

I'd guess that since Morimoto offers an LED projector with the bulbs part of the assembly, they didn't think (or care) to make the Xenon projector compatible.

I can't speak on the Morimoto but I went with the G5BRT projectors that lightwerkz offers and stuck with the Osram Nightbreaker bulbs.

I ordered my HID Bulbs from Diode Dynamics and the output is much more than OEM:

Nor can I personally, but I learn from others mistakes. I'm not on the internet very much and have seen dozens of complaints about Mori products.
