Fuel cutting out of safety feature??

That is what I thought. Not even sure how I would use it...but I think the previous owner had it there to shoot flames or for more pops while driving

That is what I thought. Not even sure how I would use it...but I think the previous owner had it there to shoot flames or for more pops while driving fast.

Excuse my ignorance, but, how do you even use it? I'm usually in 3rd when I notice this happening,(before I found out what was going on) so, would you just keep the gas pedal pressed and it basically will bounce off of that RPM setting, which I believe is 5200 RPM, so it cuts and then drops, cuts and drops?? I'm not sure if it's a GEAR setting that only happens in 3rd...haven't tried to hit 5k in any other gear as of yet. It just seems silly, because that's not even the top of the power band for third gear where I would typically shift, it's more like 6500 or so.

I'm not sure if it's cutting fuel, spark or both. I told the tuner that I don't want it and don't want to mess the car up doing flames or pops like that. I'm waiting to hear back on what it's actually doing.

As of now, I am in map 1 in performance mode which is very nice!

Just stick with the performance map.
