To me the biggest ask would have been to use the current engine they are using for the new Z. Having a TT setup - that is what most of us wanted already and something they should have been doing since they added that engine to the Infiniti Q's. Regardless - it was time for an update. As for the price - EVERYTHING is expensive - feels like $60k is the new $40k when it comes to the price of cars. The silver lining for me (since I like to trade in vehicles so much) is that it making me keep my current ride and wait out the craziness of the car market.

Same - I even have started eyeing a Q60RS 7AT swap and that Z1 supercharger... owning a midnight blue 370z = TONS of looks... I still love the handling/looks of my car... just miss the low end TQ of FI and I don't see myself financing a vehicle again.. Once you get rid of car payments it's hard to think about going back! and for $60k+ for the new Z then introduces all sorts of cross shopping...

Couldn't agree more with everything you are saying. Financing a car - especially now - it just doesn't make financial sense for most (including myself haha); so my plan is to hopefully get a slightly used new Z or Supra once prices start to go back to 'normal' - whatever that is - and honestly probably NOT for about 3-5yrs.

It doesn't make sense to get into unnecessary debt at this time (with the exception of buying real estate). If you can't buy with cash, don't buy it at all for now.

The Feds will likely continue to raise rates in a supply-short environment (quantitative tightening), which in turn makes it more expensive to borrow to buy something that is already at elevated prices.

Pricing going down will heavily depend on the supply side, which we are still somewhat experiencing global supply chain issues and when the Feds will decide to implement quantitative easing (which typically happens during a recession and not when fighting inflation).

You don't need that specific trans., all the VRTT 7AT's are the same.

As for the rendering drop the chrome "U" in the grill, base is fine to have the VR engine so long as they fixed the belt eating issue. For NISMO add early GT-R engine and driveline, yes AWD and go smoke all comers.
