Mystery Nismo Brace
I bought a bunch of parts from someone who supercharged their 2015 Nismo. There is this brace that I don't know what it bolted to. Here is a picture of the brace next to the front Nismo Damper. Any idea what it is?

The one on the left is the front damper. It will bolt right up to your non-nismo 370Z. Remove the front bumper and it installs horizontally in front of the radiator.
I'm not familiar with the one on the right. But, I'm sure someone else here will know. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk

The one on the right is the NISMO OEM front upper radiator support bar.
This might be the one on the left. However, I think it is to be used in the same place. Looks like the Nismo damper is aftermarket and can be used in many places depending on the length of it and brackets attached to it. https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...tallation.html

The one on the left is definitely OEM installed on all Nismo 370s. It's manufactured by Yamaha and then installed by Nissan. My z is actually apart right now so I took some pics of where is it supposed to be installed. My Z is a Touring Edition, so it didn't come with the damper. I picked it up used. I'm not able to install it right now because of my aftermarket oil cooler. I have to relocate it so the damper will mount properly.

What about simply using some spacers between the nismo bracket and mounting point on the radiator support? Of course you'll need the applicable longer bolts as well.

Another concern may be getting the front bumper back on. I'm not sure how much extra space there is between that and the oil cooler. I'll look in to it though.

Flip the Nismo damper 180 degrees.

I flipped mine around and still had to use a 1/4' spacers with my 34 row oil cooler.

From Z1 Performance "They are essentially strut braces with a small shock inside. They mount in the front bumper, at the peak of the frame rails, and then in the rear spare tire well. Their job is to dampen vibrations and harmonics that are a natural byproduct of running stiffer springs and more aggressively valved shocks (and lower profile tires) as the NISMO Z comes with."

Hmm. Does it really help? Like, can you actually notice it? Because I'm trying to visualize any damping being done on that part of the chassis, but I can't imagine any flex so that the damper would have any action.

I thought it might be part of the Nismo body brace kit, but it's not.
