A grounding kit improves the electrical connections within specific points inside the engine bay. It improves the ground (hence grounding kit) connection at key points, and with the increasing complexity with ECU's and TCM's.. increasingly important to ensure everything is grounded properly.

On a brand new or newish vehicle, a typical grounding kit will in all likelihood not have a huge impact on horsepower, as everything is working as it should. But with every vehicle manufacturer, cost in every department is looked at and scrutinized, and wiring is especially typical in cost-cutting measures.

As the vehicle gets older, horsepower WILL be lost due to these connections, and a grounding kit will help prevent that, and bring power back to older vehicles once installed. This can happen within 1-2 years.. depending on condition, environment, etc.

That being said, for automatic transmission guys, there is an immediate improvement no matter what age of the vehicle, resulting in slightly sharper shifts, and increased transmission shift response time, and should be a no brainer when considering upgrades..

FINALLY a company who is truly honest about their products. You have no idea how many companies I've seen out there post up some BS dyno numbers out of crap parts.

Ok..so the grounding kit WONT improve HP, but it will improve the car as it ages.....so it's not a total lie from the other companies. But it's already stated that the kit improves electronics.

You can check out the current issue of DSPORT where they installed a grounding kit on an '06 G35 that's immaculately maintained (one of the staff) and put I believe 1.2hp to the wheels on the dyno, after an intake and exhaust.

This isn't a supercharger, but depending on the vehicle, and condition of the electrical system, can have benefits. We've seen 10hp on the dyno with 300ZX's.

And if you look at AT guys, even more benefits in improved transmission function.

Appreciate knowing it won't really add much now, but may add some down the road.

I would really hope that assumption is never applied to STILLEN.. we were mocked up and down the street with our Gen 3 Intake dyno numbers, our 370Z exhaust.. and all were proven via independent testing.

If it sucks, we definitely have no intention on releasing it.. we'll keep doing R&D or scrap it.

There are hundreds of products over the last 25 years that we didn't release, due to it not meeting the standards of STILLEN, and ultimately Steve Millen himself.
