Already wasted haha Bought it a month ago and getting it installed tomorrow. I just read on a 350z forum that some people have noticed an improvement in smoother/quicker shifting and a quieter engine bay. Some say they can't tell a difference but under the hood looks prettier LOL

If I were to take a guess (and it's just a guess, so take it for what it's worth), the people who feel improvement are likely just imagining it. Not trying to knock them though, if I installed a performance part, I would probably imagine a performance increase that wasn't there as well.

Yea, it could possibly be a placebo, but someone also stated their dyno proved 6hp+

I googled this, and I've been through probably 8 message boards at this point, no one has had any gains, and no one is recommending purchasing one except the people who sell them.

Back to back dyno? This is pretty important, because doing something like dynoing on a different day under different conditions could have made a 6hp difference in hp itself.

STILLEN : STILLEN Grounding Kit

Quote:
You are losing horsepower and torque without STILLEN's new Grounding Kits. Today's engine management systems utilize hundreds of sensors and in some cases over 12 onboard computers that constantly monitor all parameters of the engine and powertrain.

Installing STILLEN's Grounding Kit ensures that sensors and computers are not affected by power surges that can drain performance. This ensures that all wire diameters are optimal for amperage and current travel distance.

These kits feature 8-gauge copper wire, gold plated connectors along with 4-gauge & 8-gauge ring connectors, and are developed specifically for your application. Available in silver or red.

These grounding kits will also improve the shifting on automatic transmission vehicles, and in most cases noticeably improve shift times and reduce lag.
Some members here with 7AT transmission has them on their car I believe. May be they can chime in if they noticed any difference. As someone mentioned above, you're looking at very little HP gain and slightly crisp shifting.

Good luck and keep us posted with a post install review.

P.S.: I don't think PapoZalsa expressed a sarcastic comment. He was simply confused. Sorry for the confusion.

From the Stillen website:

I have one on mine.....did I notice a difference? Not really......just seems it was more for looks and appearance.....not unhappy that I got it, tho. I mostly got it because of the last sentence....since I have the 7AT. Anyways....that's my 2 cents on it.
