Rip mz daizy?
Went to dealer to have the Rouge washed yesterday. Salesman told me he heard the kid that bought her totaled her. Anybody here confirm? Was bought from Sutherland Nissan in GA. I no longer have a fake book account to check there.

Sniff...sniff...
The only saving grace is that you didn't have to witness the (possible) destruction yourself... Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk |
Depending on the state, you may be able to get more info. if you still have the VIN.

It would potentially show up in a salvage auction search as well, assuming the total loss was somewhat recent .... Copart or IAAI.

Any updates on MZ DAIZY?

Same thing happened to me when I sold my 300zxtt. I didn't find out about it until 10yrs later. Guy drove it through some high waters and hydro locked the engine. Bent some rods. The car was totaled. It didn't last 5 months.

I think the lesson here is: NEVER SELL YOUR Z!

The kid who bought my Z from the dealer I traded it to. Found me/the Z on youtube, through my Dyno vids. Said it's his first car and thanked me for keeping it in good condition. I followed up by giving him all the info he needs about the car and who to take it to when something comes up.
Hopefully it stays in good condition. But when I had it it was a garage queen that only saw weekends and nights. Now its gonna be a daily driver I assume, at least its still running. Good luck Troy if you're reading this and don't f*ck up that beautiful Z. |

When I got my newer car the dealer was interested in getting the Z as part of the payoff but I just couldn't part with her. Most people won't understand the difference when the car is special to you. I would hate to sell it and find out it was destroyed.

20 years from now, you will esp. appreciate that you did not give her up. |
I'm leaving my two 370Zs to my kids as inheritance. Even though they will not care for them as good as I do, it would be very hard for me to sell them.

There's a reason Z's in well condition really hold their value. In 10 to 20yrs when we start to see the price of these really go up for the more rare trim levels, I know I'm going to be kicking myself. Hopefully, being this might be the last generation (6th) to get a V8 in a Camaro, they also will appreciate in value as time moves on. |

Maybe sell 1 to MZ DAIZY? I know he's itching to get back into one. |

So you didn't have to sell to get the Camaro? Even though you don't have the garage space, the SS should stay parked outside and the Z inside the garage. I drool when looking at a 240Z/280Z. 20 years from now, the 370Z will no doubt still look damn good. Out of the Z line, I really think the 370Z is the best looking. And I wouldn't worry about future Camaro's coming out with V8's. Everyone is trying to go electric. The Corvette is officially going electric and I'm sure others will follow: https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/25/busin...tte/index.html |

So instead, I entrusted it to my fiancé and started looking for some boring family car that any responsible adult should have. To make a long story short, I ended up buying a fully rebuilt, shiny 2001 Celica GTS for a pretty good price. Actually, about a third of what would a new family hatch had cost me, as the car prices were already through the roof in my country. So, now I have two Celicas as daily cars and the Z in the garage :D |

And yeah, looks like the s2k has a collector status. 2009 CR sold for over $200K at an auction in 04.2022: https://insider.hagerty.com/trends/1...uction-record/ |

Having any of them sit outside would give me serious anxiety. |

i Understand about babying your cars and taking care of them. I got over that when i decided to track the Z, it now has battle scars and damn proud of them.
My daily driver, is that, will work on keeping it nice and clean, but will drive it. As my moto states, 'Remember You bought it to drive it' and I stand by it |
