Feel whirling gears when clutch pedal is depressed

I own a low mileage 2011 Nissan 370Z in perfect condition but with one peculiarity. When I depress the clutch pedal I can sorta feel the whirling of gears. It's just kind of annoying. I've owned lots of stick shift cars in the past and never felt that before. Thanks in advance for your input.

Most likely the clutch that you are feeling and not so much the gears. I have experienced this on other cars and never had any issues. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

I do agree. I would just run it and not bother investigating. When the clutch goes... it goes and it's not a big deal.

What you hear is the clutch bearing. For a Z that's normal.

I thought that was only when the clutch is let out, not depressed?
I’ve known every Z is like the opposite of how he describes, when the clutch is left engaged in neutral, mfer is noisy?

The "clutch chatter" is normal on all stock Z's, and only stops for the time the clutch pedal is pressed down. My 350Z also did this.

I’ll second this. DAIZY chattered like mad. Especially at low revs.

One thing I'd just add since you said your car was low mileage, in my experience the noise can be more prominent if the car hasn't been driven in a while.

I was tripping out during the beginning of the pandemic lockdown as my Z went from daily driver to being driven every few days, and beginning of the occasional drive came with that noise.
